Domino puzzle is about filling the board with all dice of domino taking into account following rules:
- each dice can appear only once on the board,
- none of them can cover,
- each piece must be used.
To make it easier, outside the board there are dice of domino. As for a solving method (online or print version) you can unmark or cross it out when you find dice on the board.
Online solving.
If you click on two adjacent pieces, you will mark the dice of domino. In the beginning the first marked field will be shown in red colour.
When you click second field, the dice of domino will be created.
In order to put a separating line between adjacent pieces, click that line. If you click again, you will unmark that line.
In case of marked dice, cancellation of step can be possible through the unmarking of each lines.
You can also use the option "Clear" from Helper.

Solving methods of logical puzzle – Domino.
If you read this page for the first time, we advise you to choose some puzzles from “easy” category. While solving you will discover methods yourself.
When you have got a problem with starting or solving of puzzle, look at the followings methods.
Method no. 1
Check if any dice is only once on the board. If it is, you should mark it.
Method no. 2
This method demands finding particular dice on the board, which appears more then once, but its configuration is limited to the different location of only one piece.
This method is about putting separating line between adjacent pieces, when consolidation would make creation of the dice impossible.
On the diagram below, this situation concerns dice 2-5. If you create the dice 5-5, it will be impossible to form dice 2-5, because it can be created on the base of this piece 5. That’s why we have to put separating line between pieces 5 and 5.
Similarly, we are dealing with pieces’ combination 5 and 3, which also excludes possibility to creation dice 2-5.
Forbidden situation
Dice separation
Method no. 3
Method rely on choosing of dice configuration, which will prevent a mistake of repeated dice.
Below diagram shows configuration of dice 1-3 in which marking one of them would make also second one marked. It would be against basic rule of puzzle.
Forbidden situation (We can’t mark dice 1-3, because another dice 1-3 will be created)
Dice marking (Piece 3 can’t be connected with piece 1. That’s why we have to mark dice 3-3)
Method no. 4
Method concerns situation when particular dice is appearing more than once, but due to previous steps (marks) related to other dice, the dice had been ticked off.
As a result, for all such dice, the pieces have to be separated.
The following diagram related to this situation, where marking of dice 3-3 causes separation of other possible dice 3-3.
Dice separation
Method no. 5
This method doesn’t allow creating a single piece without possibility to mark dice.
On the following diagram we can see, that creation of dice 1-7 will bring situation when piece 3 won’t be able to connect with another piece. Because of that we have to put separating line between piece 1 and 7.
Opening situation (analyzed area – red circle)
Marking dice 1-7 (and automatically dices 0-7 and 0-4) causes disability of piece 3 to create a dice
Separation of piece 1 and 7
Method no. 6
This method deals with situation, when creation of dice is a result of previous marks. We haven’t got possibility to mark another dice.
On the diagram below there is marked dice 2-2. It was only one possible configuration of this dice. Consequently, we have to mark dice 1-5, which is next to dice 2-2.
Opening situation
Marking of dice 1-5
